Siridao Beach

Siridao Beach is situated near Zuari estuary, a few kilometers away from Panjim. It is a rocky and sandy beach, which is popular for its mysterious caves. Siridao Beach in Goa is a shell collector’s paradise. One can come across a wide variety of oysters and pearl shells at the beach.
The Chapel of Jesus of Nazareth is situated on the Siridao Beach. Many devotees visit this chapel to pay reverence to Lord Jesus of Nazareth. Many devotees flock the chapel during the first week of Easter when a grand feast is held in the chapel, which is called Pejechem Fest.

There are a few caves at Siridao that one must-see. Another attraction is ‘The Chapel of Jesus of Nazareth’ and is situated atop a hill, right on the Siridao Beach. A very close to the beach, you will find a stone sculpture comprising of three statues playing musical instruments. Then there is the Holy Souls chapel. This chapel, is designed by the renowned Lucio Miranda and was built in the year 1973 and is known for its beautiful architecture.

Swimming is not allowed.
The local crowd is typically fisher folks, and always ask to them before you go in the water, We strictly advise you not to swim there.
Never Swim Alone.
Keep your cell phone in your language or hand out another person before going into the water.
In the case of crimes, victims are advised to report to the nearest Police Station.

How to Reach:
You can either hire yourself some transport or use public transport, there are lots of choices available. For taxis, motorbike taxis and autorickshaws you can nearly always find some available near and it’s best to negotiate the price before you get in. The nearest Train station is either Tivim near Mapusa or Margao Railway Station. To reach Siridao from Mapusa or Pernem or Margao, you can continue by local bus or taxi. If you planning to just have a ride then either take a Taxi, Cab or rent a Bike. So you can view the rest of all nearest beaches and other attractions.
