Miramar Beach

Miramar Beach lies in the capital of Goa, Panjim. It is the nearby beach in Panjim city and is one of the most visited beaches of Goa. Many people, mostly tourists, come to this beach every day. Originally named Porta de Gaspar Dias by the Portuguese, the name was then changed to Miramar. Situated at the confluence of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea, it is a small beach that occasionally hosts some events. There are several educational institutions in the surrounding vicinity, including Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Padmashree Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts and Science and Sharada Mandir High School. Gaspar de Dias club and a popular cafe are nearby. Miramar Beach has that nostalgic beach feel and it also has ultra-modern amenities and activities that are ideal for family beach vacation fun.

This is the best spot for family outing and picnics. though the in-season beach is crowded its good to be here as you will get many other activities here and nearby. The science center is there where you can take your kids to give some more knowledge or see a 3D show. Besides this, you can have a perfect lunch and food and then make shopping in Caculo Mall. An Evening you can have fun in a variety of river Cruises daytime, sunset and moonlight with most attractive entertainment with live Goan Cultural Show and music on board.

Always Swim between Red and Yellow Flags, as this area is safe and constantly watched by the Lifeguards.
Red Flags means No Swimming, which means this beach is closed and dangerous.
Do not mix alcohol/Drugs with Swimming, as 80% of drowning victims are between the age of 20 to 40 and have consumed alcohol or drugs.
If in troubled not panic. Just raise one arm and wait for the lifeguard to rescue you.
Never Swim after Sunset.
Never Swim Alone.
Keep your cell phone in your luggage or hand out another person before going into the water.
In the case of crimes, victims are advised to report to the nearest Police Station.

How to Reach:
You can either hire yourself some transport or use public transport, there are lots of choices available. For taxis, motorbike taxis and autorickshaws you can nearly always find some available near and it’s best to negotiate the price before you get in. The nearest Train station is Pernem or Tivim near Mapusa and the nearest Kadamba bus stand is in central Mapusa. To reach Miramar from Mapusa or Pernem you can continue by local bus or taxi. If you planning to just have a ride then either take a Taxi, Cab or rent a Bike. So you can view the rest all nearest beaches and other attractions.
